Wanaka Triathlon Hot Work for Students

On Friday 14th February Trinity Catholic College sent 4 teams to Wanaka to compete in the annual Secondary Schools Triathlon.

Josh Elliotte, Eli Bungard and Devan Black finished 41st in a time of 52.19 mins, and Harper Bannister, Sophie Waterworth and Lucy Koudayah finished 77th in a time 1.05 hrs. Unfortunately our other junior girls team consisting of Niamh Booth, Sophie Lynch and Harper Clark were unable to finish the race. Our U19 boys team finished 40th in a time of 142.53 - Bede Pemberton, Brent Manangan, and Lucas Macleod. We did have some bike problems with gears failing which did not help our cause. A great experience for all concerned in hot conditions. All teams had a swimmer, a cyclist and a runner.
