Celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

Last week, on September 11th, we commenced our Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori celebrations with great excitement. The library was abuzz with anticipation as we had organised activities for everyone to partake in. Among these activities, one stood out as a favourite - poi making, led by the skilled hands of Paola Hapeta and her daughter Jemma from 7OCS. Paola is a cherished member of our school community, and her willingness to share her expertise and knowledge was greatly appreciated. We also need to recognise Jemma who gave up her lunchtimes to support and help us during our poi-making sessions.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori was filled with not only creative endeavours but also cultural enrichment. We look forward to continuing these celebrations and honouring Te Reo Māori in the future.
