Daniel Thompson's Ton secured a big win for the Trinity First XI Cricket Team last weekend at the University Oval.
Daniel Thompson was the star of the show on Saturday 29th March scoring exactly 100 runs off 82 balls for Trinity in their big win over University Grange at the Uni Oval. Thompson played shots all around the ground and all his hard work has paid off with this defining innings.
Trinity won the toss and elected to bat posting 199 all out in 39 overs. Other notable contributors were Tommy McEntrye with 18 runs, with extras in the innings totaling 41. In reply the Trinity Team bowled Uni Grange out for 121 with Jimmy MacKenzie the chief destroyer (4-12 off 6 overs), and Nick Woodley with 4-26.
This performance caps off a successful term of cricket for the Trinity team, who now look forward to the term 4 competition and what lies ahead. I would like to thank Chris Marslin and Brett Woodley for their support over the season and wish everyone a happy winter.
