Another successful RYDA day for Year 12

Our Year 12 students participated on May 30th and were credited with their behaviour and participation. Comments from our students included;

• Interactive team games and tasks to get the point across and to encourage people to join in.
• Hearing personal experiences shared by a crash survivor.
• Physical representations and demonstrations such as the speed stopping demo
• Lots of information but not overwhelming.
• Entertaining presenters
• "I feel like I am a safer driver already".

This day is of huge benefit to our young people and is a mixture of demonstrations, discussion and activities. The students contribute to the cost but financial support is received from many organisations; Rotary Clubs, our co-founding sponsors BOC and NZ Steel, and major partners Bridgestone, VTNZ, Toyota and the Dunedin City Council. Support is also received from COGS Coastal Otago/Waitaki, Otago Motor Club Trust, Otago Community Trust, Dunedin Venues Community Access Grant, and the Russell Henderson Charitable Trust. @rydaroadsafety
