Textiles

Creativity, fun and learning new skills are what happen in Textile Design. Students are taught sewing skills and given the opportunity to individualise their projects with designs and stitching.

Design skills develop and students are able to produce products of increasing complexity.

This leads on to Senior Textiles where students look at fashion, industry, interior design, craft, and hobbies, which are some of the avenues for textile solutions. Students follow the Design Process to meet the needs of a client. As part of this the students will research and develop their skills to solve real life problems. Students will learn a range of skills as they interact with others in finding creative solutions for genuine identified opportunities.
